Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: July 7, 2026This Acceptable Use Policy helps protect Community Fiber customers, employees, systems, and network reliability. Use of Community Fiber service must comply with this policy, applicable law, the Terms of Service, and reasonable network management requirements.
Illegal or Harmful Activity
The service may not be used for illegal, abusive, fraudulent, harmful, or threatening activity. Prohibited uses include copyright infringement, phishing, fraud, distribution of illegal content, harassment, exploitation, unlawful surveillance, and attempts to violate privacy or safety.
Network Security
You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, devices, or networks. Prohibited activity includes hacking, credential attacks, port scanning, vulnerability scanning without authorization, malware distribution, botnet activity, denial-of-service attacks, network flooding, spoofing, and attempts to bypass security controls.
Spam and Messaging Abuse
The service may not be used to send unsolicited bulk email, spam, malicious messages, abusive automation, or communications that violate anti-spam laws or third-party platform rules.
Resale and Redistribution
Residential service may not be resold, redistributed, shared beyond the subscribed service location, or used as a commercial hosting or access service without written approval from Community Fiber or NPTech.
Network Integrity and Fair Access
Community Fiber does not impose residential data caps, but we may use reasonable, application-neutral network management and security practices to protect the network, address congestion, stop abuse, prevent harm, and maintain service quality for customers.
Violations
We may investigate suspected violations and may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate service; remove or block harmful traffic; recover costs; or refer matters to law enforcement or rights holders when appropriate.
